The job can be planned around the fittings and finishes that need updating in your South East Melbourne home.

Can you install storage in a Cheltenham laundry?

Yes, Athans Building Services can assemble storage units and install laundry cabinets and shelving to make better use of available space. Cabinet doors can also be adjusted, and hooks or rails can be fitted for everyday items. Sharing what you need to store helps the team plan practical storage for your Cheltenham laundry.

Do plumbing changes need a licensed trade?

Yes. Plumbing changes, such as altering pipework or connections for a new tub or taps, should be completed by an appropriately licensed plumber. Athans Building Services can discuss which surface updates suit the room and the fittings being installed, helping create a refreshed space that’s practical for everyday use.

How can a laundry be prepared before work?

Before work begins, clear personal items, laundry products and small appliances from the room where possible. Make sure the work area and access path are easy to reach, and let Athans Building Services know about any existing damage or fittings that need extra care. The team can confirm any further preparation needed for your job.

What details should I share when planning?

Let Athans Building Services know which fittings and finishes you’d like updated, such as cabinets, shelving, a benchtop, tub, taps, flooring or paint. It’s also helpful to explain how you use the laundry and any storage needs. These details help the team understand the job and discuss suitable options for your home.
