Kitchen Renovations FAQs in Oakleigh

What kitchen updates can you complete in Oakleigh?

Athans Building Services handles practical kitchen updates in Oakleigh, including cupboard and drawer installation, handle replacement, door adjustments, shelving and repairs to damaged panels or finishes. The work can focus on specific fixtures or storage needs, helping make the kitchen more functional without assuming a full renovation is required.

Can you assemble flat pack kitchen cabinets?

Yes, flat pack kitchen cabinetry can be assembled and installed as part of a kitchen renovation in Oakleigh. Athans Building Services can also fit cupboards and drawers and adjust doors for a better fit. The layout and condition of the space help determine what preparation or repairs may be needed.

How do you handle benchtop replacement projects?

Benchtop replacement starts with checking the existing kitchen and the requirements for the new surface. Athans Building Services can arrange the fitting as part of kitchen upgrade work in Oakleigh, with attention to how the benchtop meets surrounding cabinets and fixtures. Any related plumbing work is handled by an appropriately licensed trade where required.

Can damaged cabinet panels or doors be repaired?

Damaged cabinet panels and doors can often be repaired, depending on the type and extent of the damage. Athans Building Services can assess the affected areas in an Oakleigh kitchen and advise whether a repair or replacement is the more suitable option. Door adjustments and finish repairs may also help improve the overall look.

What happens when kitchen work needs licensed trades?

Some kitchen changes, such as replacing a sink or tap, may require plumbing work, while electrical changes need an appropriately licensed electrician. Athans Building Services identifies when licensed trades are required for an Oakleigh project and ensures those parts are handled by the right professionals.

How can painting and tiling refresh my kitchen?

Painting and tiling can update the look of an Oakleigh kitchen alongside cabinet, splashback or flooring changes. Athans Building Services can include these finishing details in suitable renovation work, helping bring the room together with a considered result. The best approach depends on the existing surfaces and the changes planned.
